Day 2B comes to an end
Chip leader after Day 2B - Dmitri Nobles - pokerstars.com online qualifier - $553,000 - woo hoo!!
Friday, August 4th, the WSOP Main Event will finally have all the players at tables in the Amazon Room, at the same time with a total of 1184 still standing. The "cash bubble" is 873 which means all but 311 of the players starting today will win a minimum of a little over $14K. I suspect early play today is going to be tight except with the short stacks whose WSOP Main Event lives are literally on the line. A day off give all the players 24 hours to sweat and dreams of $12,000,000.00.
Eliminations since my last update included: Steve Zolotow and Peter Tran who was a chip leader coming into the day; "there'll be time enough for counting..."
Notable "Survivers" include: Meng La - $15K; Susie Isaacs - $37K; Kathy Liebert - $55K; Freddy Deeb - $58K, Tom McEvoy - $60K; Minh Nguyen - $72,500 - still wondering if he did a re-buy after no-showing Day 1A?; Nam Le - $63K; Josh Ariel - $82K; Cyndy Violette - $85K; Peter Feldman - $93,200; Ted Forrest - $125K; Joseph Hache - $142,200; John Gale - $170K; and Daniel Negreanu - $331K.
My thanks to both pokerstar.com and cardplay.com for their coverage which allows me to update my blog with authenticity and accuracy.
